Стройная девственница ( SlimVirgin ) администраторша английской Викпедии, оказавшаяся агентом спецслужб. Согласно известным данным является ярой защитницей животных и содержит двух пуделей. В википедии занималась жесткой цензурой любой информации противоречащей официозу. Осенью 2006 года была раскрыта её анонимность: оказалось, что под личиной админа- девственницы скрывалась матёрая цэреушница, специализирующаяся на замывании всяких темных дел.

"Бог и царь" Википедии Джимми Уэйлс поспешил лично встать на защиту чести и достоинства SlimVirgin, обозвав статью Де Брэкелера "дикой спекулятивной чепухой". А чуть позже в специальном послании для читателей Slashdot дал отповедь примерно в таких словах: "Вся эта история безумна и беспочвенна до такой степени, что даже трудно выбрать, с чего начать ее опровержение. У нас есть превосходный Wikipedia-администратор, на которого нападают какие-то душевнобольные теоретики-конспираторы, пытающиеся навесить на частное лицо дичайшие истории, к которым это лицо не имеет абсолютно никакого отношения. Уважаемые, вас просто дурачат..." Но среди участников дискуссии хватало грамотных людей, фактами из лог-записей доказывающих, что администрация Википедии бесследно удаляет часть информации из статей и дискуссий вопреки собственным правилам. Уэйлсу пришлось признать: да, такое иногда делается - но только ради защиты информации о личностях администраторов-редакторов, которым нередко угрожают физической расправой сумасшедшие пользователи.

Реакция СМИ - заговор молчания

Однако самую эффектную реакцию на новость об идентификации SlimVirgin продемонстрировали англоязычные средства массовой информации: за исключением личных блогов и веб-форумов об этой истории не появилось ни единого слова ни в одном из мало-мальски известных СМИ! Хотя о предыдущих скандалах вокруг Википедии (вроде "дела Сейгенталера", разоблачения Essjay или программы Верджила Гриффита WikiScan) писали много и охотно. Гробовое молчание чрезвычайно показательно и ставит "дело SlimVirgin" в один ряд с такими знаменитыми темами, как НЛО и убийство Джона Кеннеди.

Ответ русской Википедии

Участник русской википедии Илья Щуров Voyager написал пространную статью, в которой с помощью википедического жаргона попытался разъяснить, что в википедии всё ОК, так и надо писать энциклопедии, и Стройную Девственницу "просто подставили недоброжелатели", однако никаких обоснований этому утверждению не привел.
